p>Rosemary Alexander, the Principal of the English Garden School has predicted that wild flower meadows will be a fashionable garden feature in 2012
In the January 2012 issue of Gardens Illustrated magazine, Rosemary writes
"Wildflower meadows, often difficult to establish, can be supplied in carpet form - just roll out on top of prepared soil. It`s expensive but much easier, especially for a small space"
Meadowmat is a wildflower meadow in carpet form, just as Rosemary describes. It does cost more than seed in the first instance but because it establishes quickly and is low maintenance (a wildflower meadow from seed needs quite a lot of weeding and tlc in the first couple of years) it saves a great deal of time and worry.
In her blog at www.meadowmat.blogspot.com, Angela Lambert compares the practicalities of establishing a wildflower meadow from seed with the ease of installing Meadowmat and follows the progress of both methods.
