In the January 2012 issue of Gardens Illustrated magazine, Rosemary writes
"Wildflower meadows, often difficult to establish, can be supplied in carpet form - just roll out on top of prepared soil. It`s expensive but much easier, especially for a small space"
Meadowmat is a wildflower meadow in carpet form, just as Rosemary describes. It does cost more than seed in the first instance but because it establishes quickly and is low maintenance (a wildflower meadow from seed needs quite a lot of weeding and tlc in the first couple of years) it saves a great deal of time and worry.
