What is MeadowMat?
Wild flowers are notoriously difficult to establish from seed. MeadowMat offers a solution to this problem by sowing a carefully selected mix of native flower and grass seeds on to a matting system, and caring for them until they are growing strongly.
In short, MeadowMat is a young wild flower meadow on a roll.
MeadowMat is supplied in 1mx1m slabs or in 1mx2m rolls. Minimum order is one square metre - ideal for fitting into a raised bed.
Lead time for delivery is normally 3 working days from receiving an order. We can supply MeadowMat all year round.
Install MeadowMat on the day of delivery just as you would turf.

Each roll of MeadowMat has approximately 1cm depth of growing medium and needs to be installed on to at least 15-20cm of soil. Do not add fertiliser or compost. The perfect soil for MeadowMat has good drainage, minimal levels of plant nutrients and is in sun or part shade.
MeadowMat is not recommended for use on living roofs. Enviromat sedum matting is produced by the growers of MeadowMat and is ideal for green roofing.
Wildflower mat can also be grown to order using bespoke seedmixes. Depending on the time of year, bespoke matting can be ready in as little as eight weeks. Minimum order for this service is 500 square metres. Please contact us for more details.
