    The common nettle is much maligned, especially by anyone who has been on the recieving end of their sting, yet it is an incredibly useful plant.  Not only is it essential to the survival of some of our butterfly species, it can be used for medicine AND for food.  As an extra bonus, it's very cheap to produce.  So, for "Be Nice to Nettles" week this year, why not try a bowl of delicious, nutritious nettle soup?
